Our Clinicians
Hello, I'm Kelcey Roberts, the owner and clinician at Roberts Counseling Service. I am excited to continue my work in Chadron and the surrounding communities. I work with individuals age birth and up. I have specialized in trauma, including physical abuse, sexual abuse, and witnessing violence. I hold certifications in TF-CBT, CPP, PCIT, & COSP. These certifications uniquely qualify me to work with children, as well as families who have experienced trauma, as well as abusive parenting. I believe in approaching all situations from a non-judgmental point of view. I work closely with children and adults in order to help you identify your goals and walk with you on the journey of achieving them. I envision counseling as a relationship between two people in which I can provide help in whatever way you need it. I have been in the counseling field for over 17 years, and I am able to use that experience to help you in the best way possible. I am excited to offer parenting classes throughout the year as well.
I opened Roberts Counseling Service in order to have a clinic that is dedicated to providing services designed for children and families in mind. My clinic is extremely family friendly, with a dedicated children's waiting area as well as a playroom. I am able to provide play therapy interventions and am seeking my play therapy certification.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband of 19 years, my two children, and my two dogs. I am also a girl scout troop leader and volunteer on the Child Develop Center Board as well as help out the local swim team. These experiences help me be a better therapist because I witness first-hand the challenges of being a parent in today's world as well as the unrealistic expectations put on parents.
Hi! I'm Maryah! I work with adolescents and adults ages 12 and up through telehealth, with a particular passion for helping clients better understand themselves, their emotions, and the patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I have extensive experience working with ADHD, including individuals who were diagnosed later in life and are navigating the process of understanding themselves through a new lens. I also have experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship concerns.
My approach to therapy is laid-back, collaborative, and individualized. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can show up as yourself without worrying about saying the “right” thing. I work alongside my clients to create an environment that feels safe, comfortable, and supportive, while still being a place where we can challenge patterns, build new skills, and work toward meaningful change.
I primarily incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and somatic approaches into my work. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, I pull from different modalities based on the person sitting in front of me and what they need. I enjoy helping clients understand not only what they are experiencing, but why, while also giving them practical tools they can use outside of the therapy room.
I currently live in Colorado with my three dogs. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, staying active, and finding ways to slow down and enjoy the little things. I value authenticity and genuine connection, and I bring those qualities into my work as a therapist. I want my clients to feel that therapy can be meaningful and productive while still feeling human.
